For me, its the pushups. I strain at every one, but eventually make it. I just need to practice more.

NHQ has just released the new leadership texts. You can download them at level2.cap.gov/index.cfm?nodeID=5803. The only changes mad are for readability and the graphics. You can use either these books or the old texts to study for the tests. The study guides will work with either version.

Ok, they are now posted in the drill help section. They're remotely posted, so it should work. I had them on an auxillary cadethelp site, and it ran out of bandwidth on the first day.

Is there any interest in video drill? I'm planning on making some videos that will have cadets performing drill manuvers in the next few weeks. I'll post a few and see if anyone is still interested.

How do you describe a command voice? I'm having trouble writing a guide to do this. It seems easier to describe a color at the moment!
Please give me some feedback.

A jodie or cadence, is sung to keep troops marching in rhythm while also boosting morale. Feel free to post some of your best jodies here. I might put them on the site. (keep 'em clean!)

Boonie hats can be authorized for special purposes. In Michigan Wing, the wing commander has allowed boonies to be worn by members attending MIWG SAR Academy, but only when in and around base. Other than that, normal BDU covers are to be worn, especially when members travel into town and are in public view. The reason the boonie is worn in this case (besides the wearing of a black t-shirt instead of brown) is to destinguish staff members from students. So, in short this is possible for special occassions. !! Really, I wear the boonie when I'm out on a squadron-only bivouac, or when we're not going to be seen by the public.

Ok, here's what the regs say:
Seems like you can wear one of these items at a time. However, in your instance, if you're not going to be using one all the time at the meeting, just leave it off.

What if you could change anything to the CAP uniform. What would you change?
I'd allow the boonie hat and orange t-shirt be authorized in the field, let cadets wear the silver nameplate on service dress, and let members wear blue berets.
Some of these are way off from being approved, but fun/cool anyway.

From CAPR 39-1:
So, although you can't use them in formation, you can wear tinted lenses.
